As autumn unfolds, fashion rises anew. The global fashion spotlight turns once again to Paris. On 28 September 2026, Chinese Gambiered Guangdong Silk fashion brand Xiangyun Zouxin officially unveiled its AW26 Couture Collection *Ode to Mountains and Seas* at Printemps Haussmann, the historic French landmark, during Paris Fashion Week. This presentation showcases the brand’s contemporary interpretation of Gambiered Guangdong Silk, an intangible cultural heritage, displaying the achievements of Chinese design’s exploration in high-end fashion to the world.

 

This fashion show garnered coverage from multiple international media outlets. Several European fashion media attended for exclusive interviews, documenting the debut of this Eastern intangible cultural heritage fashion collection at Paris Fashion Week from the perspective of China-Europe cultural exchange. Meanwhile, a host of international fashion publications including Vogue, Europe Times, La Galerie Magazine, Lazin Magazine and The Bite Magazine were present at the show. At 13:00 Paris time, the Ode to Mountains and Seas show officially kicked off amid the sparkling lights of Printemps Haussmann. Centered on the spiritual motif of mountains and seas, the presentation weaves together three major threads of Eastern civilisation: auspicious emblems of the Central Plains, sacred spirits of snow regions, and creatures of the Luoyue culture. It conveys philosophy through garments and endows meaning through forms, exploring new possibilities for Gambiered Guangdong Silk within the contemporary haute couture context. The event drew international fashion media, industry guests and buyers. A roster of designers, brand founders, fashion executives and creative professionals attended the show.

The creation of the *Ode to Mountains and Seas* collection originates from the brand’s in-depth exploration of Chinese civilisation. The design team delved into the fertile lands of the Central Plains, the snow-capped plateaus, and the hidden landscapes of Lingnan, extracting design languages from regional geographical features and profound humanistic spirits. Taking tailoring as the framework, color as the soul, and craftsmanship as the cultural vein, the collection constructs a contemporary dialogue rooted in Eastern aesthetics. The entire runway show unfolds in three progressive chapters, narrating the inclusive and magnanimous temperament of Eastern culture in gradual, immersive layers.

第一章「骆越山海」以大地本源为开篇。南疆骆越文明孕育的上古生灵文脉，化作沉敛的深海蓝、墨黑、暗紫与苍灰色调，摒弃张扬亮色，以低饱和大地色系铺陈出沉静而富有力量的视觉基调。

Chapter I 「Luoyue Mountains and Seas」 opens with the primitive essence of the earth. Rooted in the ancient living spirits of the southern Luoyue civilisation, the palette adopts restrained tones of deep ocean blue, ink black, muted purple and ash grey. Rejecting gaudy brightness, the low-saturation earthy system establishes a calm yet powerful visual keynote for the collection.

 

非遗提花织锦、暗纹缎面、厚实羊绒与重缎香云纱交错运用，繁复的花卉瑞兽纹样隐于面料肌理之中；手工编绳、长流苏与垂坠绳结随步伐流动，赋予服装动态生命力。

Intangible heritage jacquard brocade, shadow-pattern satin, substantial cashmere and heavy-gauge Gambiered Guangdong silk are interwoven throughout. Elaborate floral and auspicious beast motifs lie subtly within the fabric texture. Hand-braided cords, long tassels and hanging knots flow with every step, endowing the garments with dynamic vitality.

 

羊绒长款大衣、斗篷披肩、高领内搭与阔腿裤自由组合，宽腰带与手工编织腰封收束轮廓，塑造松弛的大廓形。拼接与重组的现代剪裁手法，将不同质感面料打破再融合，粗糙肌理与丝绸光泽在同一件衣物上并存，形成古老与前卫交织的视觉张力。

Long cashmere coats, caped shawls, high-neck inner layers and wide-leg trousers can be freely styled. Wide belts and hand-woven sashes cinch the silhouette, crafting a relaxed oversized form.Adopting modern tailoring techniques of splicing and reconstruction, the design deconstructs and recombines fabrics of varied textures. Rough textures and silk lustre coexist within a single garment, generating visual tension where antiquity meets avant-garde.

第二章「中洲瑞象」承接盛世文脉。根植千年中原文脉，取牡丹雍容、凤凰圆满之吉兆，以藕荷、檀紫、暮山紫、极夜蓝为基调，构建克制而富有层次的色彩体系。

Chapter II 「Auspicious Visions of the Central Plains」carries forward the cultural lineage of a prosperous era. Rooted in the millennium-old heritage of the Central Plains, the chapter draws auspicious symbolism from the grace of peonies and the wholeness of phoenixes. Built upon base hues of lotus mauve, sandalwood purple, twilight mountain purple and midnight blue, it forms a restrained yet layered colour palette

Exquisite embroidered cloud shoulders, hand-woven tassel belts and metallic frog buttons are revitalised through the interplay of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary tailoring. Oversized metallic earrings, sequined facial embellishments and woven handbags infuse avant-garde artistic sensibility into the complete look.

 

厚重的羊绒披肩随意搭在肩头，营造不经意的慵懒贵气；繁复华丽的传统老缎长袍，搭配未来感厚底分趾靴或系带高筒靴，视觉反差间注入现代街头气息，实现东方庄重感与当代潮流感的平衡。

Draped casually over the shoulders, the substantial cashmere shawl exudes an effortless, laid-back luxury. The ornate vintage satin robe is paired with futuristic platform split-toe boots or lace-up tall boots. This striking visual contrast infuses modern street sensibility, striking a balance between oriental solemnity and contemporary trend.

第三章「雪域灵境」作为终章，回归天地清宁。极西雪域的自然与神性共生，化作线条沉静、意境辽阔的设计语言，承载虔诚、纯粹的生命力量。

Chapter III 「Spiritual Realm of the Snowlands」, the final act, returns to the serene tranquility of heaven and earth. Where nature and divinity coexist in the far western snowlands, the collection adopts calm lines and expansive artistic conception as its design vocabulary, embodying the devout and pure vitality of life.

 

大面积的米白色率先登场，中和前序深色系的厚重感，带来温暖辽阔的呼吸感；冰川银、孔雀蓝、暗金、玄黑与走心红等香云纱缎面上，金线与彩线绣出龙凤、祥云与花卉图案，针法繁复细腻，尽显手工温度。

Large swathes of off-white take the lead, neutralising the heaviness of the preceding dark palette and bringing a warm, expansive sense of breathing space. On Gambiered Guangdong Silk satin in glacier silver, peacock blue, dark gold, jet black and Zouxin red, gold and coloured threads embroider patterns of dragons, phoenixes, auspicious clouds and blossoms. Intricate and delicate stitching fully embodies the warmth of handcraftsmanship.

The natural plush texture of substantial cashmere coats and knit shawls stands in striking contrast to the sleek drape of the silk robes beneath. The crisp metallic finish of waist buckles and leather accessories balances the softness of the textiles.
